We had a great turnout for our 31st September tournament. Players came from Calgary and Vancouver, Canada, as well as a number of U. S. locations. Most were old friends, but we welcomed several new ones. Notably, Chris Cheng from Vancouver won TWL Division 1, 16-4 +566. I think I heard it said that it was only his third tournament. Saint Vesdapunt from California eked out second place with 13 1/2 wins. Old friend Alec Sjoholm from Seattle dominated Collins Division 1 with a 17-3 +1364 record. Portlander Dave Wiegand was a distant second there.
We all enjoyed good company around the luncheon tables on Saturday and Sunday. Scott Smith made all the arrangements with the hotel and chose the buffets well.
A big thank you to Bennett Jacobstein, Scott Smith, and Conrad Bassett-Bouchard for putting this all together. I hope we do it again next year.
